One of the stars from Taylor Sheridan's highly anticipated new series is shedding light on the writer's distinctive leadership approach on set. Ali Larter, who has taken on the role of Angela in Landman, portrays the wife of Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton. Since the show's debut, her character has stood out as one of the most contentious figures. This marks the first collaboration between Larter and Sheridan during the inaugural season of Landman. In a recent conversation with People Magazine, she reflected on how her initial experiences on set were significantly more challenging compared to her second season.
When discussing her dynamic with Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris, Larter noted, "In our first season, we spent considerable time together without much guidance. There wasn’t any reassurance like, ‘You’re doing great!’" She elaborated on the environment typical of a Taylor Sheridan production, which is notably driven by results. "You are essentially thrown into intense situations on a high-pressure, fast-paced set. It was truly remarkable to have each other for support, and I believe this really helped forge a strong bond between us."
As Season 2 of Landman approaches its climax, fans can breathe easy knowing the series has a bright future ahead. Following a comment from new cast member Sam Elliott about filming for Season 3 commencing early next year, Paramount was compelled to officially announce the renewal of Landman for a third season. The first season shattered records for Paramount+, and Season 2 has already surpassed the viewership numbers of its predecessor by a significant margin. It appears the show will continue to thrive for the foreseeable future.
So, when can viewers expect Landman Season 3 to premiere? While Paramount has confirmed the renewal, there has yet to be an announcement regarding the specific release date for Season 3. However, given the current pace and trajectory of production akin to that of Season 2, it seems likely that the new season will debut before 2026 comes to a close. Sheridan is also busy with other projects, including the upcoming third season of Lioness, but this shouldn’t hinder his focus on Landman over the next few months. Additionally, despite recently announcing his departure from Paramount, Sheridan will remain involved in producing television content for the studio until at least 2028.
Don't miss out on Landman Season 2, available now on Paramount+, and stay tuned to Collider for the latest news and insights into the series.
